Week 1 - 26/02/2017 These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have not lacked anything. Deuteronomy 2:7

A very brief history....In the Autumn of 1977, six faith-filled couples formed Hinckley Evangelical Church. They met first in homes and then at Battling Brook School and Community Centre. In 1986 God called the Church to step out in faith; committing to build on the Hollycroft estate and employ a full-time Pastor. In 1986, Pastor Mike Howell joined the church and construction began on our Church Building on Deveron Way. The building work was completed in 1989 and, on moving onto the estate, we became Hollycroft Church. In 1999 Mike & Rachel moved to lead Midsomer Baptist Church and in 2000 Pastor David Warren joined us. The growing Church moved to Battling Brook and then Redmoor School for our Sunday meetings. We became Hope Community Church, to reflect the wider focus of our mission field. Plans were made and work began to build a second building to the rear of the existing Church on Deveron Way. In 2009 and David & Jayne moved to Life Church in Bedworth and our present Pastor, Peter Bolton joined us. Sunday services returned to now enlarged Church building on Deveron Way. Over the past 40 years we have seen God faithfully provide and lead His people and we celebrate His goodness, grace and faithfulness this year. Reserve the weekend of 25/26 November 2017 in your diaries for our formal celebrations. More details will be announced in the coming weeks!

2. COMMIT TO FAITHFULLY PRAY FOR 5 PEOPLE
Praying for others to know Jesus is one of the most powerful things we can do. Persistent prayer for others brings transformation to their lives.
Consistent prayer takes discipline!
Chose 5 people to pray for regularly, ask God to guide you as you choose.
Use the attached leaflet to help.

3. WRITE OUT YOUR TESTIMONY
How did you come to know Jesus? What’s your “elevator pitch”? - what would you say to someone if you had a 2 minutes and wanted to explain what God has done in your life? Write it out, so you are ready when God gives you opportunity to share your story!
